Also look for the amount of memory that the digital camera has and this can be internal or on a memory card that can be removed. The more memory the digital camera has the more digital photos you will be able to store on it and you can run out of space quickly so the more memory you have the better, you can buy larger memory cards though and they are quite cheap so this is not as important as the megapixel rating.
